Wellness.
Fitness.
Mindfulness.
This is my first time blogging, so bear with me on this whole “share all my thoughts on the Internet” thing. I was an athlete my whole life, swimming at a Division 1 level in college (Go Bulls). I rarely ever had to consider a workout or exercising on my own, since it was ingrained in my everyday life with a coach by my side. In order to fuel the hours of cardio, I ate everything in sight. I knew right from wrong when it came to how to eat nutritiously, but never really seemed to care- I was hungry! Give me food! I classically pulled the “what I eat right after practice doesn’t count” and raided the fridge like a wild animal seconds after walking in my house. Sound familiar?
Now that I am no longer swimming, and have a Non-Athletic Regular People (NARP) life, things have changed- well, they needed to. I have struggled with finding a new balance in my life, not just with how much food I should eat, but also in finding my identity post-collegiate sports. So, here is my blog about recipes, workouts, food tips and mindfulness. I hope you can relate and even join me on this journey- athlete or not. Note: I am not a dietitian or personal trainer, recipes and thoughts are my own unless otherwise specified.
